What is Blaze The Trail all about?
Redwood Creek's Blaze the Trail is an exclusive community created to bring together people who are passionate about the great outdoors and wine. As a member of Blaze The Trail you can look forward to access to exclusive Vintage Posters and Redwood Creek news while interacting with fellow members and Redwood Creek Trailblazers, who will be sharing their travels and experiences on the road sharing Redwood Creek - with you!
Complete Activities to earn corks towards limited-edition Vintage Posters, earn more corks through answering polls, quizzes and surveys, and leave comments on the Trailblazers' blogs.
How do I update my profile?
You must first be logged in to be able to update your profile. Click on the My Profile link at the top of the page and you will see your profile details. You can add your favorite pictures, your basic information and user preferences, and fill out the About Me section. This is also where you can Opt-In or Opt-Out of receiving group email alerts Just be sure to save your changes!
Participate
How do I earn corks?
You can earn corks by participating in community activities. Each section lists the number of corks you earn for a particular activity. Sometimes you'll need to submit something to us and we'll need to approve it before your corks hit your account. Other times you might just make a really good comment and we'll dish out some "bonus corks". You'll even earn corks just for joining the community, where you can snag your introductory Vintage Poster free, just for joining!
- Activities
- You can earn corks by participating in various Activities on the site posted by Redwood Creek. Activities submissions can include submitting answers to questions on a particular topic, voting, submitting pics and/or files, and all sorts of other fun stuff. Activities corks are awarded as soon as we have a chance to review the submissions.
- Polls, Quizzes, & Surveys
- Let your thoughts and ideas on all things related to wine and the great outdoors be heard by completing surveys and answering quiz and poll questions. You'll earn corks the following ways:

- Surveys: Answer all the questions in the featured survey and you'll earn the maximum amount of corks stated.
- Quizzes: Think you are an expert? You'll earn the corks if you correctly answer the quiz questions.
- Polls: Participate in the current online poll and you will receive corks. Note that you can only vote once per poll.
- Galleries
- All the awesome photos and images you submit are posted in the galleries. Members can then make comments on the best ones and rate each item based on how much they like it.
Corkordinates
What is a Corkordinate?
Corkordinates are a collection of some of Redwood Creek's favorite locations nestled in the Greater Outdoors.
How do I get a Corkordinate?
Corkordinates are located on Redwood Creek corks. To locate Redwood Creek in a store near you click here. To order Redwood Creek online visit our Barrel Room.
How many Corkordinates are there?
There are 20 unique Corkordinate locations. We also have an extra special Corkordinate that you can visit here.
How do I unlock a Corkordinate?
You can unlock your Corkordinate by visiting here and entering your Corkordinate GPS locations into the designated fields.
What can I do once I've unlocked a Corkordinate?
Once you've unlocked a location, you can share your comments about that location, read comments of others who have unlocked it, view other people who have unlocked it, submit photos about that location, comment and rate other people's photos, and invite a friend to take a hike with you to view that Corkordinate.
How do I save my Corkordinates?
Once you unlock a Corkordinate you will arrive at the location's homepage. From that page you can login or register to save your Corkordinates.
Once they are saved you can view the locations you have unlocked at any point by clicking on the Corkordinates tab in the top site navigation.
What happens when I unlock all 20 Corkordinates?
An intense amount of pride washes over you. You then can choose to climb to the top of a high peak and scream into the air, “Yahooooo, I found all twenty corkordinates!” Or, on your next hiking trip, you can say to your friend, “I found more Corkordinates than you have ticks.”
What are Corks?
Corks are Redwood Creek's Blaze the Trail community currency. Since Corkordinates is part of Blaze the Trail, you obtain corks for each location that you unlock. Corks can be redeemed for Vintage Prints and other items in the future. You can learn more about Corks here.
If I do not have a Corkordinate, can I view any of the experience?
Yes, you can visit Cowell Ranch, the birthplace of Redwood Creek varietals here.
I keep getting errors when I enter my Corkordinate, what am I doing wrong?
Make sure you enter each degree within the appropriate box, from left to right. The format directly matches the formats on your cork. The “period” in the final boxes is not required, so you can enter it without it.
I cannot get the Corkordinate movie to load, do I need to install a program?

Why did you pick these locations for Corkordinates?
These locations were hand picked by the Redwood Creek team because we believe they embody the essence of the Greater Outdoors. They are some of our favorite spots to take a hike, go for a swim, spend an afternoon fishing, pitch a tent, and experience nature.

Members
You can search to find other members who live in your neck of the woods. You can even sort the results to be shown the way you want to see them! When the search results appear, you can check out other members' profiles and connect with them by sending friend requests.
Friends
You can add friends by viewing the individual's profile. You can view and keep track of your friends through the subsections of the My Profile section. If someone has sent you a friend request, the message will show up in your inbox and at the top of every page near your log-in information.
How do I increase my Level?
The levels are at the sole discretion of the community leader. Level promotions will be given to members who actively participate in all facets of the community and are not directly linked to the accumulation of corks.
User Level Details and Descriptions
- Level: Scout
- Level Description: As a new member, you have just begun your Redwood Creek journey. Stick around and participate in activities, share stories and photos from your outdoor adventures, and you'll receive some great rewards on the trail!
- Level: Hiker
- Level Description: If you've made it to the Hiker level then you are obviously passionate about the Great Outdoors, the environment, and know a thing or two about wine. Stick around, you are far along on the trail towards becoming a Backpacker!
- Level: Backpacker
- Level Description: If you've made it to the Backpacker level you are clearly an expert in the outdoors, show a true passion for exploration, and enjoy pairing wine with your outdoor adventures. Can't wait to see how your journey continues to unfold!
- Level: Trailblazer
- Level Description: This status is reserved for Redwood Creek Trailblazers, the team of passionate wine and outdoor enthusiasts who travel the country sharing wine and celebrating the Great Outdoors.
- Level: Redwood Creek
- Level Description: This level is reserved for Redwood Creek employees who stop in on the journey to say hello every now and again.
Rewards
How do I redeem my "corks"?
Once you've earned a sufficient amount of corks, you can redeem them for Vintage Posters and other rewards if/as they become available.
Why can't I claim a Vintage Poster?
In order to claim a Vintage Poster, you must have first earned enough corks for that item (in addition to any other items in your basket). Some posters have a limit on the number each member can claim, and may only be available to members who have reached a minimum user level.
Why am I unable to "check out"?
Your user profile must contain accurate shipping information in order to receive your poster. Click on "My Profile", add/update your contact information in the Basic Info section, and then complete your check out. Only members residing in the US are allowed to claim posters.
Orders
Once your order is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation containing your order number. Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your order.
