What is the Redwood Creek Greater Outdoors Project?
The Greater Outdoors Project awards financial grants to nonprofit organizations to use towards specific environmental projects that aim to preserve, protect and provide access to the great American outdoors. Redwood Creek Wines is inviting nonprofits across the country to enter the third annual Greater Outdoors Project. The program will award a $50,000 grant to one environmental organization that shares their commitment to protecting the outdoors. The grant serves to fully fund a specific outdoor project. Eight other finalists will receive $10,000 each in runner-up grants.
Who is eligible?
Registered 501(c)(3) outdoor/environmental nonprofits, such as mountain and trail clubs or conservation groups, are eligible to apply for the Redwood Creek Greater Outdoors Project. Only one application per organization will be considered and all submissions must be dedicated to a specific project that strives to preserve, protect and provide access to the great American outdoors. The grant applicant must be 21 years of age or older and a legal U.S. citizen. All project work must be completed by December 2011. For the complete Terms and Conditions, click here.
What are considered appropriate projects for submission?
Redwood Creek encourages applicants to be creative in their project submissions. Are youth organizations eligible to submit an application?

If I am not a representative of my nonprofit of choice, may I submit an application?
No. Only an official representative of the 501(c)(3) may submit a project application on behalf of that organization. Please let your favorite outdoor/environmental organization know about this opportunity.
